Our history.
VBCP has been offering quality, early learning education to families in the Village of Brooklin and surrounding areas for over 20 years! This proves that by having a cooperative partnership with parents and teachers, we are able to build a strong, early learning foundation for our children in the community.
1.) OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Village of Brooklin Cooperative Playschool is an early learning community where children are nurtured and guided through a loving and supportive environment created by families and teachers.
2.) OUR APPROACH
We are committed to providing children with a stimulating, play-based program that focuses on all aspects of a child’s development—social, emotional, physical and cognitive.
3.) OUR MISSION
The VBCP, is built on the foundation of working collaboratively with parents, children, teachers and the community, in a cooperative setting.
Our teachers.
We have two dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educators who provide the love, support and learning, to nurture each child’s growth and potential.
I’m Becky and I’m thrilled to be joining the teaching team at this wonderful school. I fell in love with the VBCP back in 2015 as a volunteer parent and more recently I had the opportunity to participate as a supply teacher. I’m a registered early childhood educator and have a diploma in early childhood education. Before deciding to pursue my passion as an early childhood educator, I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration and also had the opportunity to be a stay at home mom to my two fantastic kids. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing the clarinet in local musical productions, and exploring the outdoors.
I believe that early childhood is the most vital and significant period in the life of a human being. I feel honoured and privileged to be able to work with young children. Their well-being and learning must be the primary concern of any educator who is lucky enough to be working with them. As educators we must always keep in mind our responsibilities to the children in our care, their families, and to the community. We have as much to learn from young children as they have to learn from us, and I can’t wait for the adventure to begin!
